So I thought you guys might enjoy seeing this. Now I'm not a welder, so dont be too harsh. I had a few old #2 square jaw Victors laying around that I had absolutely no use for, so I decided to tinker and make them useful. I started by disassembling them completely to the bare frame, then drilled out the pan post and put in a larger bolt to eliminate the slop. Next I bent a mail baseplate and welded on with my chain and stake setup, followed by welding and nail to the dog for reinforcement. After this I installed victor 1.75 levers and offset jaws, along with music wire springs. Lastly, I bubbled the jaw tips, and added 3/16 laminations, and ended up with some good fox/coyote traps. I was curious of the cost difference so I added it up, a brand new victor 1.75OS is $12.75, with everything I did I'm into these traps for $6.05 a piece. This does not include the cost of the lams, pan bolt, baseplate, or chain upgrades as these were things I'd do to any new trap as well. Might not be for everyone, but if you like to tinker like me, this is a good project to get some extra traps.

Thanks guys, actually an enjoyable project that made use of some old traps I'd never use otherwise

Thats pretty cool! Way convert those old rat and mink traps into something useful.
