I have a couple of z-trap dps that I am having trouble keeping set. It is almost like there is grease on the trigger. I have cleaned them and scuffed them up and no matter what I do they will not stay set. So I figured good chance to gather up stuff and switch to some pull only triggers on these. I'm sure somebody has done this so would like your input on good bad or otherwise?

Take a small flat file and bump the underside of the round peg that contacts the flat trap dog. A couple short swipes will make a flat space on the peg that will keep trap set.

I have over 100 Zs....no problem with em but had to do this to em.

If that dont work send them to me.

There is an even simpler way to fix this. Once and a while I have this issue after making a catch. The catch will bend the dog ever so slightly and the trap will go off on its own. Just taking a pliers and bending the dog back will fix this. Once you do this a couple times you get pretty good at determining which way you need to bend it.

'Lil Griz Getterz were originally made as PULL only.

Yup, probably the most reliable trap I ever owned. Glad I bought a bunch when they first came out.

Me too! Love that "Pet Proof" concept.

They are good traps. (grizz ) Never bought any new ones. I came across some used ones for 5.00 each. I bought all the guy had. Only thing i dont like is the stake . When i am setting in hard ground.

Thats one of the reason why I like the z traps. Have some dukes as well though. The stake allows you versatility. I personally like staking in deadwood, posts, etc when the ground gets hard. And I know some don't like the push/pull. Other than pets. I never understood why. I suppose the pull only you would get a deeper catch. I personally have not noticed a really significant difference between dukes and z traps in that regard.
