Somebody does a giveaway and whoever gets the most people to join T-man wins that giveaway (first second third as well if you want). Too add on to this if you get kids to join (under 18) it’s worth double. Hopefully we can then figure a way to keep them active on te website once they join.

What is the purpose of increasing Tman membership? I think there are already over 40,000 members, many of which have never posted. And some of them are antis.

I think you’ve got a good idea but I think the idea would be better to focus on state trapping associations.

I am a member of numerous groups.
Service groups, veterans groups etc...
It's pretty hard to maintain interest unless you can demonstrate what you have to gain by your continued activity in that group.

There are currently over 38,200 registered users on Trapperman. Almost half of them have never made any posts.

Some of them have been members since 2008 - and still no posts.

And we need more members, why…….?

Agree with Wissmiss, but it sounds good for state associations.

I think Trapperman is a great tool for those learning to trap. Mentors are not always available to everyone. I would like to see more young people trapping for obvious reasons, and if Tman can help those newbies out that is a good thing. A focused effort to inform new trappers about the website might be beneficial in the long run.

If anything, T4K needs to be revived!

I am stuck at my computer much of the week, when I can be out doing the things that people like us enjoy , fishing , hunting , trapping , shooting , gardening

well you are basically trying to attract the people who are busy doing rather than typing about doing.

even Leftlane types less when he is off fishing and not just avoiding writing reports.

I'm just saying I've seen alot of new guys basically get run off due to older members and when you bring it it it's " well ya gotta be tough !" It's like for every one that stays a few more get ran off...

Get the kids to join--there is a good place for them on the Kids Forum. It is well monitored and no one gets run off--unless it is deserved--then they are just deleted. And I don't remember ever having to do that.

I just checked for an example and counted under the letter “A” under “User List” there are 549 members that have zero posts after joining. These are names on pages 14-29 under this letter that never posted. Many others just have one or two posts. I didn’t realize it was this high.
