This mountain range doesn't have natural water these are all at guzzlers. Have to pull the cameras by Aug 1st. We have a good idea of whats on the mountain just have to find them when the hunt starts in November. Only 6 tags in the area , not sure how many folks will use guides but this will be diy ( do it yourself ). Hardest part of this hunt might be finding ammo to hunt with.

I keep trying to get the tag holder to push his hunt back about 2 weeks so we could go to the NFR at night during the hunt. If you have to go to Vegas might as well party lol. These pics are probably less then 15 miles from the strip in Vegas.

Typically those high roller sheep foundation gurus will have all the big dogs located and named . Might be worth a phone call

Anti , this is one of the units they would be hunting but the tag holders last year filled their tags in this unit so its off limits to those governor type auction tags this year. We meet and have talked to a couple of guides and the biologist while out on the mountain.

I hear your Governor is pushing another mask mandate. He will probably cancel the nfr again. Nice looking sheep

Yama it was a better show last year in Texas. We'll hunt the first week or so. Set the wall tents up if the governor gets stupid.

Ya guidez and state wildlife department . Its won't be a secret on what sheep are there it will be who can find them and get to them come November. Out of the 6 tags we figure maybe 1 other diy hunter the others will have guides. 1 or 2 hunters probably won't be as fit as they should be maybe even a couple more then that. He had 23 points to draw this tag and started gaining points when he was 12 so he's got a great shot at finding something he wants.

Yep..Back in the day we would have a pile of people with us..high end optics and radios..we would actually sleep near the rams we wanted to show the hunter..bring the hunter in the evening before the hunt..and if the weather was right.. the ram and hunter down the mountain by noon opening day..

Thats one of the options for us too. We'll be there several days early and all of us have good optics and he has said he'd sleep with it if needed.

Yep..I didn't read thru all of the pages on this thread..If there is a limited number of tags..And competition for that one ram is high be careful..I have scoped many other people scoping me..What they are doing is assuming that you already have rams located are watching you for the direction they need to watch and scope themselves..what we would do is hang a small piece of camo netting up for obstruction of view..It's amazing the games at 11,000 feet..In fact our horses would be tied out of view also..I just read 6 tags for your unit..Be careful..with who's watching who..

We've played that game on a few elk hunts here . It can take the fun out of a hunt fast.

Hunt starts next month I'm headed down a out 5 days early to try and find the top 3 he has picked out. Still can't get him to wait till the nfr starts.

I lost track of how many dall rams I’ve taken, a bighorn probably isn’t in the cards!

Didn't realize the hunt was that late. Thought u guys killed a new world record and were just keeping the lid on it for now. I'll try and wait patiently.
