With your situation and experience I would start early in the fall. The fur may be worth less but it will be sellable and it sounds like you won't be trapping them out before the fur gets good. Go ahead and get some experience while trapping conditions are easier, you'll have a lot of learning curve.

Sounds like great opportunity to pick up experience. High pop animals in your area, go have some fun and get a season or two under your belt.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I'm with you on this Yes Sir. Trapping coyotes isn't rocket science but they can humble you real quick like. Throw out some steel and see what happens. There is no substitute for experience!

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

This is good advice, you can also get some experience with skinning and fleshing with lower grade fur before they get really prime.

Id love to wait til Thanksgiving or later simply because our rifle season will be over and that will open up a ton of land. The last couple years the weather has been amazing in december-if i could be guaranteed last years weather id hold off for sure. Ill probably head out the 1st or 2nd week of november. Farmkid if you can get on ground in october id get after them if i were you.
