Iím debating between the black tube z trap and the blue tube tuff trap. The z trap has wire triggers and the tuff trap has a pan. Anyone have any experience with either on or even just a recommendation? Thanks

We use regular Comstocks.

We also use comstocks. However, we use a syringe pole to put the skunks down with.

You might be able to guess what I use, because they can be used for chucks, armadillos etc., multiple applications.

I like the AAC proline skunk traps. They have 1/2" mesh and keeps them from digging.

Just got another fat one today. With metal covers they don't spray, which is good when trapping chucks as sometimes the odd skunk will dive into a chuck hole. At first I was concerned that a fast door trap would make them spray, but not so. Thought the metal covers might not be enough to keep them calm, not so either. If skunks are afraid they will spray of course, but just startled is not a problem. When they are in the truck and we are eye ball to eye two feet apart, they just look or will sometimes turn the other cheek, but don't spray. I think my favorite set is a dig out under the fence when most or all of a yard is fenced, a trail set. Anything that moves in or out of the yard ends up in the cage. Just too easy.
