Luckily, our renters are not parasites that want something for nothing.
When the crap hits the fan, I hope y'all have good mental notes on who is trustworthy and who to put in the "other" category and treat them as such. Its more than the idiots that were elected, its also the constituents. Totally agree, and we have been fortunate to not be affected by it. I keep my places super nice and my prices super high. That alone weeds out more then half of those who you don't want.
Trash your goals and plans for life. Just wing it and you'll never be let down!

The government is frivolously throwing money out the windows. Landlords have been the brunt of freeloaders. Why shouldn't the government help bail them out. I know of one guy who is ready to lose his rentals if he has to go without rent money much longer.

The reason for the extension according to the CDC. Evictions would become a super spreader . In all honesty you can’t make this up. Just announced on the local news for the reasoning. Also giving renters time to prepare to find alternative housing. No mention about employment

I suspect the SC will rule against this agency's power reach also. If not, it's a brand new ballgame in America. With Covid on the lips of 100% of the people, allowing a health agency legislative powers it doesn't have per the US Constitution is interesting. Who initiated the CDC coming out as the "governing" body anyway? The WH?
The SC already ruled on this I thought. Why would they re rule on a ruling? Who is going to do anything at all about the Joe Biden** ignoring the SC? The Joe Biden** justice dept.? Headed by a AG that was nixed a spot on the SC....
you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

My buddy is considering selling if this goes into 2022. There's been too much stress on his marriage with all the money woes and he'll keep his wife rather than the money. I think he'd sell it right now if he could.

This is in direct violation of a very recent Supreme Court ruling. We are no longer a nation of laws when the Supreme Court is simply ignored. Contempt of court?

The government should reimburse landlord losses, imho.
I decided years ago I was never going to invest in rental property. Smartest investment decision I ever made.
Jim I agree, government should be reimbursing landlords. I once had two rental properties. It was a headache. I don't have them anymore. No the tax payers should not be footing the bill for this. Anybody think the founding fathers of this country, you know back when men had a conscience and a backbone, would put up with this federal overreach? Time for the American people to grow a set. We are great at talking and complaining but very poor at doing.
