Last night luck was with me and I got my first archery roe buck. I was behind a stone wall next to a pasture and when I called he came out of the woods on the far side and started to feed about 100 yards away from me. After a couple minutes I called again and he came like a rocket right at me, jumped the 4 foot stone wall, got behind me and did a U-turn and jumped the wall again. I whistled at him a few times and he stopped broadside at 30 meters. They are a small deer and very skittish, so I was glad to finally get one. There are more here than at the old place and it is easier to sneak around. Pete

Nice action!! I saw a collection of roe buck skull caps that an old surgeon in this metro got as a young officer in the Army during the occupation of Germany right after WWII got done. An interesting critter...
