So I got a call today for hornets in a wall[old dryer vent].These thiings are at least a inch or more long.Yellow and orange[red maybe] in color. Got spray at the farm store that was told is deadly on hornets..when you spray it turns into a foam.Sprayed[foamed] the entrance today in the a.m. late afternoon and just 15 minutes ago.How many applications will this take? these things are tough..I am not a bee or bug guy for sure ..are there any on here?I might need some advice

Sounds more like Wasp's, but the spray should work OK. Did you get the foam on the nest?

It does not sound like you are listened to commercially apply pesticides.

Be careful, very careful. Read the label to make sure the product is listed for your target and that it is being applied in the correct manner. Don't trust the guy at the farm store.

I assume the nest is inside;not sure that I am reaching the nest. Hornets are listed on the label.

You'll have to watch it to see if they are coming from within the old hose or the small gap between the hose and the sheathing/sidin%

I would say they are in the wall.Almost want to go there in the dark and get right up against the building with the spray and shoot it up in there in every direction. It is in a tough place. Also vegetation and vines have taken over on that side of the building.

From your description it sounds like yellow jackets. The usually have a nest in a hallow place in a wall. Some times it can be quite large. It this case, I would not want a foam. A foam does not get into the nest where you want it. You need to read the label. as stated above.
