Will be leaving tonight (myself, son (8) and daughter (9)) headed to my brother's place for 3 days of goose hunting. Kids are too young to hunt here in Ontario but they should have fun (they really enjoyed the trip last year). 10 bird daily limits so hopefully we'll come home with a cooler full of meat.
I'll update the thread with pics as we go... everyone is excited but we need to get through work/school days before we leave. I am having a really hard time focusing on meetings so far LOL.
Just happy to be here.

Go get the kids!!! Their mind is farthest from school right now. It will be time well spent. My M in Law always says to not let school interfere with their education when it comes to road trips.

lindner115 - no can do. They are already missing 2 full days of the first week of school and my kids don't do well with disruptions to their routine. This will serve to amp up their desire to be on best behavior and not screw this up for themselves LOL... anything worth doing is worth waiting for.
Plus, they need to learn that responsibilities come ahead of fun times.
That said, I generally agree with your sentiments above... but in this situation I need to be the bad guy LOL
Just happy to be here.
