Good day,
I've got the Poly-Fil and thin produce bags to try, as well as my sponges to keep trap pans working in freezing weather.
A question. Do you deodorize the poly-fil in any way?
I'm going to double wash the sponges, then store them in a pail with some leaves, dry grass, maybe a spruce bough. When I'm ready to use them, I'll use a smaller pail, soak them in glycerin and keep them sealed, using them as needed.
Would washing the Poly-Fil and storing it with grass, leaves and such be a good idea?
Or is it fine to us straight from the bag it comes in? How about the produce bags used to enclose the set trap? Do they need airing out or washing?
Thanks,
Ken

I just use it right out of bag. I put it inn ziplock bags so that way I'm not carrying the whole bag with me. I just don't let no smell on it. Never have problems with it

I trap mostly in the sage brush sea. So, I will pull a few hand fulls of sage leaves and put them in the bag. Not sure it's needed but easy and make me feel like I got it covered. Do the same with my snares.

No expert here, but I use it right out of the bag too.

I've used a trappers cap and never needed anything under the pan. But that only works In dry weather.

No need to clean it, just grab a handful and put it inside a zip lock and go trap. Keeping things simple saves time.

Do you that use a trappers cap always use polyfill or just the cap and nothing under. I have not used the trappers cap yet but I just bought one last weekend. Just wondering about if it rains etc with dirt falling under the pan. (MB550s)
