I recently bought out a retired trapper, how do you identify the brand of 330's and 280's?

stamped on the dog normally if you cant ID the construction.

Montgomery and BMI body traps are stamped on the clamp part that holds the wire in place. MTI and BMI.

Trigger set up is another clue. Many different types, some with very minor differences.

Obviously new enough to have the ears on the jaws, that trigger setup with holes the wires come out of and one rivet looks familiar, I've seen it before but I'll have to go look at mine and see if I have any like it. If I had to guess right now I would say Victor by the jaw shape and safeties, but I can't remember who has triggers like that.

Those two look like Victors' triggers to me. You should be able to clean up the sides of the dog and see a marking to verify. They are new enough they should be marked.
