The Biden Administration removed Greenwood’s seat from the National Council of the Arts. Greenwood held the position since he was appointed under the George W. Bush administration. The Biden purge continues. I imagine it is due to Trump playing Greenwood’s song at his rallies.

The Xiden administration is not here to administer America, they are here to destroy America. Lee Greenwood is a cultural icon important to the American heartland, and therefore in need of being purged from all official functions. I experienced my own purge here in Pennsylvania when Tom Wolf became Governor. I was removed from All of the advisory boards, committees, councils I sat on. Like all other ideological Democrats, these people want only leftists speaking in public. They do not want bona fide conservationists who have a foot in the capitalist world and a foot in the environmental quality world, who cut timber and manage private land for conservation outcomes. So I’ve seen it myself, though Lee Greenwood is obviously much more symbolic and important than some two bit small business guy in Podunk, USA.

No worries fellas. Now that there's this precedent, the next Republican can clean house as they see fit.
Besides, I never heard of the National Council of Arts and have no idea what value they provide.
It’s a big assumption there ever will be another non-Democrat Communist in the White House. Real elections may be a thing of the past. The administrative state openly rebelled against President Trump for four years in nonstop insubordination. Including the military. So good luck ever “cleaning house” ever again. The National Council of the Arts funnels millions of taxpayer dollars into the pockets of politically active Democrat Communists, which is of high financial value to them all. America is in huge trouble

You just now figured that out? I knew it the minute the new covid voting laws passed. China introduced the bug to defeat Trump. Plain and simple. Fauci funneled money to get it done.

jbyrd...??? what did I just figure out? I was responding to Kre's beautiful belief in elections and his possibly over-optimistic confidence in the rule of law. Don't know about your activism, but I was a Tea Party candidate for congress in 2009, an anti GOPe / pro-constitution patriot candidate for state senate in 2012 (gerrymandered out by senate GOP, put back in district by PA Supreme Court), and ran again for state senate in 2015 but dropped out with badly injured knee from hunting accident. I have been a fixture in conservative Republican politics since I was young, working polls, doing door to door, ballot petitions etc. I don't know everything about politics by a long shot, but I have not just recently figured out that America is in big trouble. It is one of the reasons I despise the useless GOP so much.

Who appointed you to those offices--a Republican governor?
Regardless, your removal, like Greenwood's, strikes me as politics as usual. I'm not defending the practice, but a lot of these offices are filled with political appointees, no?

James I was nominated and appointed to a bunch of different state boards/ advisory committees/ etc over many years by both Republican AND Democrat administrations. I hunt with a lot of politically active Democrats (appointees), what we call the "Blue Dog" Democrats, which are even more rare than a conservative Republican in elected office. In the past I always crossed political boundaries because neither political party serves all of my interests in conservation. I have lobbied successfully against "Republican" interests and also successfully with "Republican" interests. I have had reporters ask me what the heck I am doing up on the stage with all the greens, and then ask me two years later why I am not standing with the greens. What has changed is the ideological intensity of this leftist Democrat Party, its cancel culture/ blacklisting/ destroy-all-opposition mentality that is the defining characteristic of this socialist movement. Anyone who is not in lockstep with this movement must be purged, destroyed, driven out of the public square. It is happening everywhere at every level, including in the medical field where getting a second opinion was the standard until Covid, and then all of a sudden there is only one narrative, one opinion, and you had better believe in it and pay homage to it and bow before it or you and your stellar career are toast. Leftist idiot actor Johnny Depp recently decried cancel culture. Liberal scientist academic Naomi Wolf just wrote an op-ed decrying cancel culture. I was purged from "official" Pennsylvania conservation because I represent a strong break with the ubiquitous climate change narrative nonsense, and yet I have a great track record as a hands-on conservationist. Can't have a guy like that questioning "climate change" nonsense as a recognized conservationist, nope. So, no, James, you cannot pigeon hole me as some sort of political hack who got purged like all political hacks get purged when the opposing party takes the reins. Nice try, but no. I have been one of the every few people who crossed that divide, and for that I was excommunicated from the official conservation establishment. Which is OK, as I have more time for my family, my business, my outdoor life. I am just pointing out what [gosh darnit I want to write all these T-Man forbidden words!] this new Democrat Communist Party is.
