Looking to try "baited" conis in deeper pools. Softplastic shad or crawfish wired to trigger, Id like to have the trigger pointing up. Was thinking of maybe a mink pan?? 110,120,160?? Anyone try this with any success?

Yes, I have. You can have your trigger up, down, or sideways with a rubber minnow on it and it catches them. Put it in a deep pool where minnows are and place it in or under a littler cover so when a mink is swimming it will see it if it's hunting the brushy areas. I use all 110's. Some guys wire crayfish to coni pans and set them in shallow water on their sides. Mink pounce and grab with their teeth. You can wire a rubber crayfish to a big foothold pan and put it in the water where crayfish are and that works too. It's not a 100% set but part of a plan or piece of the puzzle to add to certain spots for me.
