I live in Renville County MN. Just wondering if anyone around my area Tats what is your go to bait and Lure for having success for Coyotes and Raccoons mostly!? I’ve used a lot of stuff over the year with good and bad results. Just wondering wheat people in my area are using with success.

Crickets....lol. In the trapping world that's like asking a man " how much money you got in your wallet".

"I live in Renville County MN. Just wondering if anyone around my area"

This probably narrows down the number of responses you'll get. I don't know anyone from that area, and there maybe none from there on here.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

I would personally use something different than what others are using around me. Never know how much other trappers are educating animals and you don't want them to associate your baits with a bad experience.

Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand

I dont live in your area but I changed up my coyote baits a couple years ago and haven't looked back. Been very pleased with results.
I normally bring two different baits and I set about 10 different farms. Most farms get 2-3 sets. Just sort of the system i settled in on some time ago.
One dirthole or double dirthole, one post pee set, and one flat set or something else different from first two sets.
Baits I use are apple road, keg creek (showtime, Iowa thunder, Bill Nelson formula), and John grahams cat creek.
I was a Hiawatha valley guy for many years though. Its sold a lot around here and I wanted to try something different too. Been a great move for me. Location of course is always key. I do run some fresh baits too..rabbit, pheasant, I save my game parts for dirtholes and those work well too. Hiawatha valley is a great bait, dont get me wrong. Change can be OK though if others are using it and I'd wager it sees some action in your MN area for sure.
I dont use much lure these days, just baits and pee only.
Lures I do carry are Dobbins Backbreaker, Carmen's mink gland lure, and blackies red ranger. Never had good luck with "coyote" lures but have with those three for some reason so I stick with them.
Hope this is helpful. Backbreaker seems interesting to coyotes and cats. The old red ranger was a lure I got my first coyote on and it stays in my bag as long as someone is making it. I do like Carmen's canine call once and awhile in winter too. His mink gland lure is a fun change up on my coyote line.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I'm not sure what you are looking for in a bait but give Backwater Bait a look. Normally I use the BW skunk river down a hole and the Slims Best in pipes. I also use some Keg Creek Bill Nelson Formula.

Also, don't be afraid to make your own. It is surprisingly easy and I have high hopes for the bobcat & Dobbins Bait Solution I made earlier this year. I think it is going to be a winner and from what I have read...it is like a fine wine as it gets better with age.

Good luck.

I sent you a PM. I am from your area. I use a few different baits, Fatal Step, Hiawatha Valley, Minnesotas Best. I am going to try a couple more that I bought at the NTA Convention also. As far as lure I have had my best luck with Gusto and GH2. I did mess with some Violator 7, and a couple others with limited success but I have not really went all in with them. I am mostly running dirt holes and trench sets.

It's exciting when you mess around with lures and baits and find the ones that work for you. People in my area are tight lipped . I experimented a lot to find my favorites. If you get some time to use the dobbins bait solution, and make your own bait. I think you'll do well.
