Think try this out in water stake terminal end if possible this season early season,, gunshots under bridge on row is not always best in neighborhood even if far enough away, have done it just little, dp on sliders, in past an made it out be lot work but works, I have 3 stakes with half pvc pipe as holder on stake but just shove so stakelizer on trap in sand an attach rerod an 11 ga wire out deep end water stake work probly most time, what u all do with trap to dry off before rebait dry bait, put ur handkerchief out pocket in trap inside an dry off best as can on reset ?

I've never dried out a dp before rebaiting it. There isn't enough water left after slinging out the old bait to hurt anything.

It work better in places where can't check in morning , some farmers with cattle not real far away out field might not like sound gunfire under bridge, I set few these bfore, on sliders, not lot , sone places are very hard make pockets because rock, flat sandy bank, I am into pockets an main set an like catch mink, may be up just a little more this season on mink, not lot, I read fur fish game that coon prices be very depressed except bigger ones from good areas with heavy coon, maybe later sales, coon are main thing trap here. Live coon under bridge on sand, not always but often need have complete pelt wash real good after akin an dry for hrs , without tumbler, , even then u never get all sand out, pretty messy hides on land under bridge alot times in loose sand or whatever soul if loose

Again you need to be using that wet sticky bait you got in those rocky/cement areas. Just smear a little on the rock side facing the water at the edge of the creek, set your trap in front of it and collect your coon the next day. Also this... Dave that's what ball bats are made for, much quieter. Dennis
