I've messed with them and for the life of me cannot get them to work with any of my longsprings. Most 1.5 coils I've tried do work.

I had some #1 long springs that I tried and it would work if I turned the long spring 90* towards the dog- then the frame hooked into the bracket. I do like the way the 1 1/2 coils fit on them…
