I just wrap it in a warm damp towel for 10-15 minutes. turn easy then. fox coyote or cat. never had one taint either.

I was taught to turn fur by tucking the nose down inside the mouth and to keep turning and tucking. I was told if you reach inside it increases your chances of ripping them and to never start at the butt end. I have turned a lot of K-9s and never put a damp towel on one to turn it. I turned two coyotes that had been flesh out for over a month. I used a pair of vice grips to get the nose down in the mouth. Neither one tore.

Small gray fox can be a pain to turn. If a $25 tool makes it even slightly easier I'd be all in if there were grays in my area.
I agree going from the nose is the way to turn innies to outies.
I also agree that Scott is one heck of a good guy.
