I have a tear in my track. How would you recommend fixing it?

Dude that would bite! I have had the whole track tear off but never seen a tear like that. I am sure someone here has a good idea or two!

I have managed a temporary fix using some old track and some small nuts and bolts but the truth of the matter is you are going to have to replace it this was on an identical type of rip

I have had small rips that stayed that way for a couple years, but the only time I rode a snowmobile with a big rip like that (not mine) I was going through the timber in low snow, going over logs and limbs, and it ripped completely in two. I recommend replacing before it does that to you on the trail.

Some here sew their track tear with the cords in a old snowmachien belt.

Yours looks like a bad spot to sew.

I agree with otterman.Any track repair to something like that is temporary to get you home.
If you dont get another sound track you will be walking this winter.

There are several styles of conveyor belt repair links and repair kits out there that may help you get by.

Thanks for the input! Sounds like the best fix is a replacement not a fix.

Yea, replace is the better long term fix. When the torn one is off you can look into more ideas to fix it should you need a track to get you through the remaining winter.
