What many fail to see, is in the past when oil was $80+ / barrel, oil companies invested more in exploration, drilling, infrastructure, etc.. With this administrations war on fossil fuel, even with the recent barrel of oil at around $83, ( high $70’s today)companies are hesitant to invest in exploration, etc..

The oil release is equivalent to two days of us oil consumption.

Fox news is now reporting that a good chunk of the reserve being released is going to China and India.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/oil-reserves-released-biden-expected-china-india

That is soooo messed up.

If he gets rid of the reserves it’s one less place to get oil and it makes the case for electric cars more attractive.

The U.S. uses about 20 million barrels of oil per day. I guess this release will last a couple days.

"Welcome to the October 2021 oil & gas activity report from TCI Business Capital.

Over the past month oil prices have been on a dramatic climb. On September 20th, WTI closed at $70.29. Since then, prices have climbed steadily and hit a high of $83.76 on October 25th. This is the highest closing price since October 2014. Analysts point to a continuing rise in oil consumption and a drop in global oil supplies as the catalyst for the rising prices.

The October 22nd Baker Hughes rig count report shows 542 active drilling rigs in the US. One year ago, the total active rig count was 287. The oil rig count is 443 rigs. Oil rigs are up 232 from October 2020. The gas rig count is 99, up 26 rigs compared to the October 2020 count."

Is there a reason you don't post the entire article?

There were 2000 rigs going on most of the time Obama was President. Would you like him back?
