Last month I had 10 Raccoons on my cams every night. Now that their fur is prime, and I have my sets out, I have ZERO coons on my cams !!!! Private property, no one is roaming my land. It's not 20 degrees outside, so they must be moving. What's going on ?????? I have never seen coons stop moving except when the temperature dips below 20.

They are fat and it has been a warm fall to date. As soon as it gets a bit cooler and before deeper snow they will move at least that is what I have seen in our area. This year I did an exceptional job of avoiding coon in my water line.

Strangest thing. Still haven't seen a Raccoon on camera, or in a set. Been a good week, and the temps are only in the 30's. Someone must be feeding them on another farm.

I have had the same thing happening. 11 traps out for a week and not a single catch. I have tons of coon around my farm.

Ive only got eight. All big and nice shape. But only eight. Set a lot of farms and variety of sets. All on great sign. Getting tired of checking empty traps. It's been dry, warm, some days windy. Did better on colder windier days for some reason.
Starting to take it personal. grin

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Been very slow around here as well. Did manage to catch a large boar yesterday and found another on the side of the road. Would think with this warmer weather they would be moving.

This late in the game I think you need to close to a good food source or close to where they are holed up for winter. IMO

Here I thought it was just my luck. Set several dps in good trail for about a week and caught 5. Moved to river and had a better response.

40 degrees now, and got just 2 on camera. Still unusual for this time of year.
