We build our own blinds and have the same problem with windows and hunter movement. Has anyone tried to use those car window tinting kits? And It Is important to paint the interior black and wear dark clothing while In the blind.

We build our own and just hang a heavy felt type of material for shades. Can adjust for movement oe sun and cheap.

Leave the windows open all the time and hang an old soccer ball from the ceiling. Paint it with camo spray paint but leave a little bit of white. When you hunt take the soccer ball down, now they're used to your head being there.

I don't like leaving the windows open since It gets the carpet all wet with snow or rain.

I don't like leaving the windows open since It gets the carpet all wet with snow or rain. if you are deer hunting with a carpet floor you aren't deer hunting anyway LOL Carpet muffle any noise and I put it in all my stands. Insulating them not only keeps it warmer but also helps reduce noise. Like coondager says, it's the little things.

I guess if it got as cold as it does up there where y'all are we would probably have them insulated here too. But a morning in the 20's is about as cold as we will see it here in a normal winter

20scout nailed it. It helps keep the noise down, the floor warm and most all of mine are insulated for warmth and noise reduction. I like a padded, high back leather swivel seat in there too. The more comfortable I am the longer I sit.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I agree, no one says you have to be miserable when deer hunting! A warm shelter, a good comfy chair, a hot cup of coffee and it's about all one can do to keep from nodding off. This year has been abnormally warm but other years it can easily get to -20 and colder with windchill. Spent too many years freezing while trying to get my deer. Like to think my mama raised ugly kids, not dumb ones!!

Yep, sounds like you've got it figured out for those cold temps!! My grandma runs a little beauty shop and we have one of her old barbers chairs in a tower stand. Talk about being on a swivel!!
