I have recently started developing a few lures and baits and am looking to starting testing more seriously after I’m done trapping this year.

What cameras can you all recommend that doesn’t spook coyotes. I have a few IR cameras and all of them seem to alert a coyote to some extent.

Ill keep my guns money and freedom you keep the CHANGE!!!!!!

I use Browning Advantage Spec PS Model BTC-8A cameras. I use a 20 sec video setup, never photos. I want to see the coyote's body language and foot placements at the test sites. Because the cameras are very sensitive I've learned to be a litte choosy as to my test sites and time of year. I can't have too much waving weeds or moving branches within range of the camera or I'll windup wading through a huge amount of waving weed footage in between coyotes! LOL The up side is these cameras don't seem to eat batteries like I've heard others do. I highly recommend that model camera. I also purchased the swivel tree mounts and they have paid for themselves when it comes to lining-up to view the test site.

A word of warning, lure and bait testing can become addictive!!

That’s right, the cameras don’t but you’ll be surprised at the different interpretations at what is being seen from people viewing the videos. LOL

You won't regret it
I run Browning Dark ops similar to Seldom but I think they may b older cheaper models. Don't spook coyotes but I have some issues with them reliably detecting coyotes. I could tell by the sign I was seeing that I was getting some footage of coyotes but not all. I was getting some holes dug but not footage sometimes. Here a couple weeks ago I set one on a set with a trap. 80 foot detection range on camera, one set within 50 foot one 20 foot closer. Few days later I catch a coyote at furthest set. So I walk up turn camera off. As I walk by closest set I see coyote print in dirt pattern but just missed pan. I think great I have a close miss then a catch on camera. Take camera home only to find a few videos of weeds moving in high wind during the day and a video of me walking up to shut camera off and not one single video of a coyote bouncing around in a set 50 foot away for who only knows how many hours. I'm going to try the camera Seldom recommends he has more experience than I do with the cameras

I have found that placing the camera high and facing down the critters except coon is not alerted to them as much. and 7 feet or so people do not see them as much.

Up close the Bushnell cams will spook most yotes if you set back a bit you will have better luck.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Another browning dark ops user here. This camera is mounted about eye level with the yote. Still from a video. No problems with them spooking.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.
