Hi guys, I recently passed my cable restraint course here in PA and I want to build some cables. I am particularly interested in using micro locks. I was wondering if there are any good diagrams out there that I could clearly see how they are assembled. My thanks in advance.

I rebuilt some snares for a fella in Mn that needed break aways added. There is a close up of the micro locks set up in there.

It would be the same as these kill snares without the kill spring as well...

Hope that helps.

Does PA have any restrictions on what kind of lock you can use.? We here In WI can only use a washer type lock.

I'd be using those slide free locks on as long of a cable as is allowed. 7x7 3/32 in that situation. Coyotes would be pretty calm when you get there.

If you had to use washer locks then 1x19 3/32. It's too slick for the slide free lock's function but very chew resistant.

We can only use the reverse washer lock and It works just fine. In just about 98% of catches you can easily remove the CR from the coyote. Have yet to have one back out of a CR.
And yes i use 1X19 X 3/32 for the loop end. And since goioing to that type of cable have had no chew outs.
