Wife and I set out our marten boxes on Dec 3 and gathered them up on Dec 4th, we both set out 10 boxes each, she caught her 2 and I caught my 2. Fastest end to a marten season ever.

Look good, I wish we had them in my area. Would have to travel a few hours to get to them.

Couldn't really tell you the harvest rate. The dnr hasn't put out a report since 2018. Don't know whether I would believe it anyway, as the Native Americans have their own catch limits and reporting system.

I can only tell you that we put our 10 boxes out about 1/4 mile apart and have never had them out more than 6 days. We alternate areas every other year.

However, we are only allowed 2 martin, or 1 martin and 1 fisher in a10 day trapping period.

So Michigan and Minnesota have almost identical seasons, I believe we have a 9 days season and are also only allowed two animals each.

Does Michigan allow non resident trapping?

Michigan does allow nonresident trapping> However nonresidents cannot trap Martin,fisher,otter,bobcat or badger.

alaska viking; This year were having them tanned, in the past I've shipped to fur harvesters, when the price was decent.

I can’t get get myself to sell any of my furs. I get them all tanned and hoard them 🤣
