I have skinned a few badgers with the feet on. All but one, I cut the main pad loose (but left attached). The one, I left them intact. My question is, what is the "proper" way to leave the feet on? With the pads intact seems like it would be hard to clean up all the way to the toes.

Thanks, that's pretty much how I did the other 3.

Leave the pad intact, skin feet out like a sock.Flesh all the fat off the pads with poultry shears after skinning. If you cut beside the pad leave a border of fur so the taxidermist can hide the stitches easier, especially bears and cats which are mounter with the pads displayed in many full body mounts.

Are those on some sort of stretcher?

Those are wolf feet-stuffed with paper so the feet dry properly.Any folds will cause hairslip.
