It really stinks how this country is most of the time however during times of need there is alot of great people out there. After the tornados swept thru several states on tge 10th of December I found out the next morning that one of the places hit was the small lake town of samburg tennesse. My family and friend have been going there for years. Later in the day after talking to family and friends about our vacation spot being destroyed we decided to start gathering stuff to donate. Well later the next day I decided heck ile throw it out on my Facebook page what we are doing, thinking may get a few ppl interested. I'm proud to say that my little community is surprising me. We went from taking maybe two pick uploads worth of stuff to now we are working on filling a trailer. Weve had so many ppl reach out to us. Its great knowing that in times of need others care and help out kinda gives me hope for this country. My little community is 390 miles away from where we will be taking this stuff to most have no clue where this place is they just want to help. Its been a humbling experience dealing with all these ppl ready to reach out and help ppl they don't no. So we will continue to gather stuff this week and head down on the 27th of December.

Guess what I'm trying to say is its a shame we all have to wait till devastation hits to act like neighbors

Americans and Canadians are mostly good people. We just have to listen to the minority who are nasty, hurtful, self-absorbed, arrogant, and outright evil people most of the time on various forms of media. Sure, there are local losers and d.b.'s as well, but overall the two countries have good people who will help each other. We've just been conditioned to think its the other way around...
