If you leave your muzzleloader outside in your truck at night, you know someone will steal it. Maybe try sighting in your gun on the side wall of the factory you don't like working at. You should be able to get at least one round off before someone shows up to help you out.

you should find something to shoot , some where , you can be very high or low and not know it with open sights

Don't say which way to load , no darker end on pellets , I Google it an say put bevel not flat end to breech, so that what did for late muzzloader I plan on later week, foul barrel with 3 primers an 2 pellets with bevel end in first with sabot 250 grain , is bevel end to breech the right way ? I used out 2-3 pellets in any way If your work ethics are comparable to your hunting ethics,,,I can see why you have issues at work.

Ya should shoot it when in woods once,no place do it at easily here There is a range in Central City where FTA holds their rondy in August. I'm positive Owen Hall or few others could get you info on it on Iowa Trappers Talk. Waukon has one, Elkader has one. I'm sure several others closer to you.

I understand it can be difficult to find a place to shoot and can take a considerable drive
in southern WI if we take out belonging to a private club or shooting on private land , as well as open to the public sight in events at private ranges. I can think of only 2 places to shoot a muzzleloaders McMiller and Yellowstone
if you get north of Madison you get a few more Columbia county and Mud lake
further north there are a few more county ranges
my son and and a friend of his went to Yellowstone Saturday they are both 18 , but if I ma not with it makes no difference I belong to 2 clubs
I also have a farm I trap where I can shoot , but I am not going to have my son go out there and wear out our welcome bringing guests.
it can pay to trap worthless coons if it gets you permission to have a place to go do some shooting. club membership is not free one club is 180 dollars a year if you don't work your hours to reduce the dues.
the alternative is drive a hour or so.

Fellas fellas! No worries, with the advanced woodsman skills Ccoonman220 has, his stealth and stalking abilities are second to none!! He will be so close to that buck when he touches off the smoke pole, if it goes off! He will have to spit his Skoal at the Mini ball hole to put out the burning hair!!! Old "Daniel Coonman Boone" been posting here for ages, and you all question his marksmanship.......Shame!!!
you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!
