So my whole goal this year was to start targeting coyotes and some other predators mainly due to my declining Turkey population. It has been a learning curve but have started finding some success. I caught my first red last week. And this weekend my first bobcat. This morning I was fortunate enough to get another red and my first coyote!!!

Don’t forget to concentrate on the egg eaters too. Coons, possums, and skunks assure those others never get a chance at poults.

Way to go. Looks like your learning curve was much shorter than mine.

If you could bottle that feeling you had when you first saw the coyote you set for, you could make a fortune selling it! ............ the mike

Yep, the nest raiders are the biggest threat to turkeys by a large margin. But canines and felines a lot more fun, and challenging, to trap. For me, the first coyote was one of the most difficult yet satisfying experiences in the woods.
