So far we have not made it to 6 above today and it will start cooling off in another hour because of the sun setting. I have plenty of ice to spear. I walk out 99.9% of the time. I go where I can park close by and drag a sled and portable most of the time. There is a thing of the ice getting so thick it is a pain in the back side to cut a hole in too. I like about 4-6 inches of clear ice. When you cut three foot of ice, you have tunnel vision. I slope the sides of the hole out a little and cut the hole bigger than the hole in the floor of the house to help. But it will ware an old fat guy out cutting the hole. It shows 5 nights, 16 below or colder in the next week, so we are going to make ice. Highs show below 0 for six days out of seven. I am looking for a heat wave. Merry Christmas.
