Whats everybodys favorite skinning knife for smaller stuff like skrats? This is what Ive been using. Thinking i might try one of of those resharpened butchers knifes from MTP next time i order stuff for something with a little more slender pointed blade for opening.

X3 on getting your knives from Horn. I've bought several knives and steels from him and have not been disappointed with anything yet. I've bought the metal scabbards from him too, those are really handy to have.

I just use an old 6" Rapala fillet knife - works for me...

Jack Whitman (Gulo) on this site ,makes a really fine pelter that holds a good edge! You can find them in the "crafters" area on TMAN.

My favorite is the box of knives that I received from Horn on here. You can sharpen a few a bit differently and see what works best for you.
