I just read in my new issue of Trappers Post that the torch has been passed from Bob Noonan to Mike Wilhite. Mike is now the owner of Trapper's Post. The magazine is in very good hands and will continue to be one of the very best trapping magazines out there.

Yes congrats to Mike, down to earth knowledgeable trapper and business person. Kudos to Mikes wife also a helping partner.

Appreciate Bob bringing back the 'old' magazine we all missed so much and thankful it's going to continue, now if we could just get Paul Dobbins as a staff writer on it everything would be perfect, lol.

Awe hush up. I'm semi-retired now, so I won't have time to be doing such nonsense. You on the other hand, would fill that slot perfectly.

Mike is the perfect person to take the reins. Trappers Post had a wonderful beginning, and will continue to wave the banner in excellence.

A lot of history is behind the publication . Mike wears a lot of hats in the industry, and this hat is a natural for him.

Bob, of course, is one of a kind. Careful and effective , he has made successes of publications , every one, down through the years. A joy to work with, he called not long ago and we had an enjoyable visit , recalling memories and stories throughout our time working together. We marveled at the time gone by...almost 40 years my editor, and working with him in several magazines. What a privilege to be part of such an amazing, talented team.

Bob's ADC work has taken off full steam . There was a vacuum in that need when he moved into the area, that he has filled seamlessly. He will be plenty busy living and loving life. Being friends so long, we will keep in touch, of course.

The reins don't feel any different, Mike does his job so well.

Books have chapters to enjoy, and life is no different. Just another chapter of life enjoyed. Better and better .Goals attained and deserved, as they should be.

It's been a heck of a ride.

Mike is a very knowledgeable trapper who has given me lots of advice and great conversation when I see him at the rendezvous in Little Valley NY every year. I wish him much success and Bob a happy retirement

I was with Bob years back when he was pondering the beginnings of the Trappers Post Magazine. He made it a reality and then some. Great work from an innovative man. Bob and I spent many a trip together over the years. Good memories and time spent on my lines.

I am sure MIke will take the reigns and continue the Trappers Post publication as we know it. Good for you Mike.

Thanks Boss and everyone!
Not a whole lot has changed other than who signs the checks. My wife and I have been running the magazine for nearly 4 years now and will continue to bring you what you expect and hopefully more. Bob and I will also continue to brainstorm together on projects, and he will continue with his columns and drawings.
This is something we've worked toward for a long time now and I'm happy that Bob has the chance to "semi-retire" and spend more time doing what he loves: spending time with family, trapping, fishing with grandkids, and enjoying life which includes fried clams, calamari, and Red Bull.
Thanks to Bob for starting this publication in 2009, giving me a platform, and trusting me to take over the reins. Also, a big thank you to our subscribers, readers, and advertisers, you people are gold!
If any of you have any suggestions or article ideas/submissions, I'm just an email or phone call away.

Kinda buffaloed me for a minute as the Mike Wilhite I knew was buried 5 or 6 years ago.

If this one is of the caliber of the one I knew, he will be successful.

Always wondered why 2 different pics of him, or does he have a twin brother with the same name? Only reason I ask is that in college I knew two brothers, twins, named Ricky and Richard.
