Got a coyote the other day that was ate up wit mange so dispatched and drug the carcass off about 50 yds into a field.
Got some snow and saw coyote tracks that passed within 10yds of the coyote with mange but it just walked right by the carcass - never went to sniff or investigate!
Other than a case of the covid, anyone have an idea of why the second yote just walked by? Seems odd to me...

Heck, he didn’t want none of that mange either. We can throw rank boars in an open field next to a sow or young pigs and everything will be gone in a few days except the boar. That joker will have to rot away…and it takes months. Buzzards won’t even touch them.

The coyotes I have caught with mange they smell like dead rotten meat which I could smell before I got close. Just think what it smells like to a canine with a good nose.
