The ones made by GritGuy work well. I have 6 of them. I use them nearby...not right at the trap. Logging road intersection turns, field and food plot edges, etc. Put up on low tree limb and gang set around it. Use feathers and fur at sets. Bcat killer!.....and grey fox killer.

The kill squeaks work. As mentioned are murder on bcats. I place the squeaker in a clump of sumac or low thick brush an put walk thru style sets on both sides of the brush patch. Caught 5 out of 7 cats on one property with squeakers. Battery life is about 10-14 days on 2 aaa. Had some frigid temps last season an they still performed well

Yes they work great on cats and fox. Caught 3 cats in three nights in the same set and trap. I just tape mine on a limb above the set somewhat. Had pics of a grey on the opposite side of the 2-track stop, and stand for about 3 pics, then came in to get caught.
Never had any issues with mine. On/off switch worked fine. I’d tape them with camo duct tape with the speaker side down and they survived extremely wet conditions and still work. Batteries last about 2 weeks or so. Even used one in a trench set with the hole up a little and parallel with the deck so it wouldn’t fill with water, caught more fox that way.
Even had a pic of owls swooping in when it was taped on the limb.
Now I used mine in conjunction with bait/lure and urine. They’d probably even work in a blind set situation.

I use baler wire to attach to a limb. Can slide the unit out and replace battery fairly easy. An good point wb,make sure to point the speaker opening down to keep the rain/snow from getting inside.

I got 6 and they all shut off within 48 hrs... push the switch and they're good for about 24 to 48 hrs and shut off again. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Could be a bad batch...I don't know but I'm not happy!

Boco, just cause you don't use them in your trapping does not mean others are suckers for using them.

I have way to many testimonials from non users who bought mine and have been repeat customers for years now.

I'm good with people trying stuff if they want, just giving my opinion.
I like to keep things natural and simple, was never a fan of gimmicky stuff.

I use sound call as a draw in many sets, but natural only.No need to buy or replace batterys.

Don't you get tired spending all night at the set puffing on that call?

LOL,the set provides long term attraction to the birds and microtines to provide the sound and vision.

Thats just it Boco, they are not gimmicks, sounds have proven the predators react and follow them, the units prove themselves

There are many different kinds all work to different degrees, they may be gimmicks to you, but to open minded people they have
a proven track record.

You probably should just stay to what you really can add a comment worth reading on, instead of something you feel so against, without trying them !

Boco , I respect your leather work and your trapping work, they have proven skill behind them, but when you knock something around you obviously know nothing about and call people suckers and the products gimmicks to voice an opinion, I will not respect that !
Yes I use them and many others do as well, far to many to be shooting your yapper off like you know anything at all about them !!
