HFT the weather has been terrible checked the line today with 35 for the Temps and rain. On my line I had about 3and 1/2 feet of good hard packed trail but (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) was it soft today . Seems like it's been a struggle for me all season with low fur (guessing more my inexperience )and dealing with way more snow then I'm used to and constantly being stuck or trimming low snow covered alders. But I did find a place to run a line this year and have caught a little fur.

Good to hear you found a spot! Yeah I drove across the flats today it is bare ground!!!! I am land locked until this junk freezes back up, hopefully by the end of the week!

Crazy weather, it seems like I've been saying that more and more in recent years.
From Washington to Alaska the winter started out extremely cold and wintery. Now I wonder if spring is here?

waggler I know right! It has been in the mid 40s here with a good wind.

This is a pic of the pond behind my house right now. I hate getting wet! But at least there is still a little snow. I think about 8-9 years ago we had a chinook roll through around Xmas that melted all the snow.

We are supposed to be below zero again by the weekend. 31 here now.

Got 2 inches and it is still coming down!

Well it stopped snowing and we picked up 5 inches or so.



After plowing out the driveway and taking care of critters I decided to make a run out back to see how things were and to dig out a few kitty sets. Walked into the tree line and cut fresh kitty track!
Picked this nice female up on Teds Meowch!



I was talking to Ted earlier today, pretty excited for him, MTP is going to start carrying his Meowch and his H.O.T. latches!

Hit a few soft places but seems like if I stay on the trail it is pretty solid. We will see what the main line is like tomorrow.

Woo hoo! Hope the weather levels out for you. It'd be nice if we didn't get too much more snow here, it's waist deep in the clearing if I break through. Made remounting the Pig a bit of a climb!

I have 14 below right now so maybe it will spill over the mountains towards you.

We have a lot of cats running around here. Looks like that cold rain at Christmas may have whacked the bunny population.

Been fighting the weather the past few weeks. Between the wind and the snow it seems like every trip I am digging gear out. The snow is starting to get deep, but it sure is pretty!



Did manage to connect with a yote at a bait station.



Been getting fur ready to turn in for the ATA auction at Fur Rody and Ted is headed down this way next week to run my line with me

Picked this pretty boy up today. Stinky would be a understatement, grateful he wasnt rubbed up yet!

Well Ted made it down and he ran my line with me Grateful for my buddy Jeff running with us as well.
