I´m trapping mink by a frozen lake.
Two weeks ago I got a mink.
Today I got a bigger mink in the same trap.

Was the first mink a female with her territory within the territory of the second mink who probably is a male?

I didn't expect a new mink so quick this time of the year.

Should I keep the trap in the same place?

Appreciate any thoughts.

If you skinned it out, youd be able to tell what the sex was, cant tell which by size though the males when they reach adulthood are generally bigger. Dont get caught up with territory on mink. Theres so much overlap and the young of the year arent quite dispersed yet especially in areas that have a lot of food for them.
