If you worry about quick links working open(and they can) a drop of superglue or loctite cures it.

I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.

I use the heavy J hooks for assembly connectors making sure they are closed completely. I never reuse them. I don’t bother to weld them because they hold plus my welding is ugly and unreliable. No failures.

For connecting staking systems, I use 3/16” or 1/4” quick links ALWAYS tightened with a wrench and a screwdriver through the link. No failures.

Had one MB550 cross-staked with rebar that was completely ruined by someone trying to pull it with an ATV. The did not pull it of course. The only parts not bent were the pan and the dog.

Had one MB550 on a Fox Hollow chain spine super stake that was pulled. The landowner’s fool of a grandson used a tractor with front end loader.

The point is that there were no linkage failures.
The last thing I want is an animal running around loose in a trap wearing my name tag.

Boss Paul sells the Q-links for $37/100 on "The Store"! Go to the top of this page and click on Dobbins Products. And use a Wrench, not pliers, they will tighten down better.

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

Remember Bowe Bergdahl, the traitor.

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!
