What would be the recommended ratio of vinegar and water and salt for a tanning pickle?

I have read:
1 gallon vinegar/ gallon water
1 pound salt/ gallon water
2oz citric acid/ gallon water

I used that one a couple beaver pelts and tanned them with the orange bottle. Turned out good.
