so far I have caught a red fox and a racoon
both hides are frozen
my question is can I wait to scrape all the meat and stuff off or do I need to get on them rite away?

Dont leave them in the freezer too long.If they start to freeze dry they will be difficult to process.
The coon will last longer in the freezer if there is fat on the skin.
Fox and other thin skinned pelts with little or no fat are more prone to freeze drying.I would say 3 months or more for the coon and 6 weeks for the fox.
After they are scraped and dried they can be put back in the freezer and kept for much longer.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
