It’s not just Jbird. Everyone’s electric bill in this area went way up. Had i not been burning wood about every day I shudder to think what bill would have been.

We just had our 500 gallon propane tanks filled yesterday. The house and shop tank. Per gallon price was at $1.94
Our electric bill runs around $140 a month average. The spikes are in the summer, when we are running 2 window AC units, and our pool filter. It then jumps a bit to $170

I finally called for propane this morning. Need to top off the cabin and fill our shop tank. Fella quoted $3.05 to $3.35 per gallon. Not sure why he gave me the variable pricing. We burn wood mostly just run the propane on the very cold days and nights then shut it down.

This is all I can afford after Biden got through with me . ON NO he isn't done got 3 more years of his nonsense

We got our January electric bill yesterday. It was $177 on budget. It would have been $380 straight which does seem pretty high for us in the winter (NG heat for us). Our top electric bill is usually running the AC in the summer. Can't wait until this summer! We do have an electric water heater and the oldest kid likes to take baths. He's on the spectrum but very high functioning. My wife does take "rent" money from him but puts most of it into a savings account for him that he doesn't really know about and he wants to move out on his own. It will be interesting to see to how our electric bill responds to only shower takers...

P.S. 2,800 sq ft house with "garden level" basement, at least in the back. 44 N Latitude, mid-continent climate. It was part of Dakota Territory but its not North Dakota! Still gets cold but not as sustained as MJM land.

In the winter ours runs between 125 and 160 in the summer high is 370. The outdoor wood burner keeps it cheaper in the winter. The window unit ac and old house raise the rates in the summer.

My lektrik bill for my shouse in Nebraska was a little over $10 dollar last month, but then I'm wintering in Florida.
(forgot to unplug the kitchen stove so I guess that's what it costs to run the clock)
