It looks good for your first one,for sure. Next one you do,take a couple minutes and clean up around the head and ears some more with a sharp knife after it is on the board. Nice job, nailing and trimming the nose, and closing the legholes.

Boomer, looks pretty good, if you have a one handed scraper , scrape that hide on the board until no more milky stuff comes out of it wipe it down afterwards, lap your back legs so when you comb the fur it laps head end over tail end. Little wild on the leg holes, LoL, looks like your off to a good start.

That one looks good for your first try at it. A little more work as stated above. And your beaver will look like this. How many beaver's did you do before you got them to look like that? I think the OP did a darn nice job for his first beaver.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Just like Boco said I would shave down the area around the head a little. If nothing else it sure quickens the drying time. Since I clean skin I shave down those trouble areas as I skin.
As others have said, you've every right to be proud of that first put up.
And Dirty, you got it down now buddy. Good job!
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
