Has anyone had a marten like this ? All his fur is nice but at the base of his tail and on it , he was hanging high and clear of the ground

Yes I’ve tried that to no response as Luke or wardens here know nothing of marten even though I’ve caught over 100 in the last few years it shows 0 marten have been caught in Washington it’s weird

Just the other day I noticed that on the harvest data from last year. Almost as if they don’t read the trapping reports.

What type of trap was used ?
Explain that and I could add what I have seen on my travels

Koro trap , like a conibear and set just in box on running pole hangs free of everything, almost looks like when a dog chews their but when the got hot spots or something, never had this on a marten before

looks like a prior bite and some infections going on and the animal is licking it.
Good that you are using some Koro's some built in Manitoba product.
they do have bot flies that infect them and the air hole the maggot breaths in is just outside the skin,when it leaves the animals lick the wound like crazy, and the big infected area does look like that.
