Huh, I've never used a tail stripper. Used channel lock pliers a whole lot back when I used to bring them home to skin though, and two chunks of schedule 40 quite a bit also. Anymore I skin them all in the woods, while they are hot the hide pulls way easier, so it is always two sticks.

^^^^^ it's just that crazy Texican Savell subduing creation again. From the inside out.
He talks a big 'ol tough sing along game and we think his encampment is impenetrable but....

one, I mean just one whisper from his sweet Mrs. lips, and you're gonna see a big, bad, coyote catching, bobcat skinning, bull tossing, chew chawing cowboy....

comma running so dern fast with a yes mame and a no mame flying outta his lips.

All for a dance.

It'll make your cows buckle at the knees,
And critters skin themselves.

How bout that?

Mr. Savell..a-mamas-man

How do I know?

Well, um, er, duh, ah, well I um.....
IT'S OK! WE'RE MARRIED

I enjoy your threads. laugh

Blessings!
Mark

Oh no. A lone star drinking, catfish catching, coyote killer that cant sharpen a knife? Who woulda thunk it. I cant believe anybody would rather pelt with a saw blade than a good sharp pelter.

These are cheap, hold an edge good, touch up easy with a steel and easy to find when you drop or lay it down someplace. No saw blade either. Just touch what you want to cut if its sharp.

I gotta agree with the Texican, and I’m right fair at sharpening a knife.
That said, I only use the serrated pelter for the head. The head is what dulls your knife as you’re well aware.
Also, you can sharpen those pelters just like any other knife. When they are wore out the wife gets them for the kitchen.

I figured that “serrated pelter” was one of his wive’s steak knives.

Y'all can pick on Ol' Savell all ya want, cause he can take it, and he can dish it out better than most of ya.

Anybody that can shame a Brama bull like that, gotta be a tough Hand for sure, even if he never did get over four foot tall.
