No reason for Russia to stop with just taking over the Ukraine, no opposition and now taking trade with China whos country has similar interests in expansion. Putin has also forgiven debt to Cuba and made an alliance with them. US and the rest of North America in chaos, and the fear of the final war in the world, why should he stop. Right now I don't care what leader you have in a country, its a tough decision of how to proceed. Right now Putin has called the worlds bluff and its a big one with all chips in. Pulling the trigger on the big guns nuclear is like flipping over the poker table no one wins. All may be lost for the Ukraine but hope the rest of the free world draws a line at other borders and calls his bluff.

All hope is gone for the crooked Ukraine regime. This probably wont affect blue collar status quo.

So what country is not corrupt and crooked or at least its leaders. My guess is 98 percent of the Ukrainian people are hard working the other 2% are crooks and politicians. When it falls it will be replaced by Putin puppets and he will state it is an honest safe country now because of his doings.

If any country had 98 % hard working people, it would be a paradise and full of unicorns.

Putin is not even subtle in his desire to expand and be a power again like before the collapse of the ussr. He was brought up in a much more influential Russia and was trained and worked in the KGB for 16years, if he thought he had the ability he would definitely not stop with the Ukraine, he wants all the former Soviet countries back from NATO, I think. He even still keeps his communist party membership card.

Putin knew if ever he wanted to take over Ukraine, now would be the ideal time with Biden as president.

Ukraine is one thing. The price of real estate as regards to NATO or EU countries is going to be a lot higher. Estonia maybe but that is as far as he can expand and not get hurt in a big way

I guess time and history will tell.

I'd guess we haven't seen the last of this. Leaders from the other countries seeing brain dead people voting in brain dead politicians must look like easy pickings.

I say we nuke Russia and China hard and fast, fur ain't coming back, the good' ole days are gone, 'bout ready for the last dance, and it's closing time.

Have you even thought about what you said? 3/4 of the world pop would be dead within hours, and the rest would follow in months to come. Very few survivors. You could not "nuke" them fast enough to not be rained on. I just hope ol senile dipstick don't think like that!

countries have borders , Russia used separatist groups to gain the footing to say they have a legitimate claim to be there.

other countries need to define physical boarders , patrol physical boarders and deal with internal issues so that they are not next.
