Last summer at the NTA in Iowa a midwestern dealer who was cleaning shelves had brought along some #48 ATC Newhouse traps that he had on a shelf. This is the standard Newhouse otter trap that has teeth beneath the closed jaws. He had sold at least one when I saw them and I was able to buy the last 6 he had. The traps had been on a shelf somewhere for at
least 50 years and perhaps more since they were made and they had picked up light rust on some parts but were very near new condition and with fine steel wool and some lubricant they could be restored and protected from any further rusting. The traps have a 5 foot chain and are original and complete. Pan strikes are strong on the left side of the pan for ATC traps but the right sides are weak. I am asking 175.00 each shipping included in the lower 48. The second trap pictured is a #4 ATC Newhouse trap made about the same time as the 48 that has the rather unusual raised letter pan found on late Newhouse #4 traps. I have 5 of these traps and they are in very nice condition. If they were ever set and used it was for a brief period. They are dyed black with logwood dye I believe. I am asking 110.00 each shipping included in the lower 48. I accept personal check or money order. Orders of multiple traps(mix or match) will have shipping reduced. Have two of the new #48s left
