I have some Bridger 120s and they have one safety going each way, I don't have any Bridger 330s but suspect that may be what you have. Every other brand I have used has both safeties going the same way. Thanks. Some of these 330's also have been dipped/waxed only in the areas where the pivot pin rivets are. Ever see that as a factory application ?

A fat rubber band looped through the eye of the spring to hook the curve of the safety or a small piece of fine wire would keep the hooks out of the way pretty easy. Some books show the conis set to hit from the sides with the springs off to one side to avoid fur damage around the hard areas like the skulls and spines.

Usually both go in the same direction. All of mine are "on" with dog up. Of course I like to set dog down and the safeties tend to fall off on their own. I might do something about that or just trust the safety between my ears.

My 330s are Dukes, and I flipped them so that safety is on when dog is on the bottom. Both sides same direction.
