Ive seen a thread about this on here b4, but is anyone willing to again share an insurance agent/company that offers a policy for adc? What does a policy normally cost annually?
A local timber company wants to hire me but requires liability coverage.
Also have to incorporate my business, which I was about to do anyway.

I use Christian Baker. The first policy I had was $650 per year but required a membership with NWCOA, which was $250. Total cost $900. It’s a good idea to be a NWCOA member anyway in my opinion, so I don’t mind the $250. Then I had a customer require more coverage, and my insurance alone went from $650 to $1000.
I have never filed a claim, but their agents/employees are easy to reach and quick to help in my experience. When I get a new customer, I call or email them with the customers information and they give me an insurance certificate. Great customer service.
It hurts to pay for insurance, but it’s a peace of mind and job opportunities. Some of the customers and companies that I deal with require it before property is accessed at all, even if I need to just cut across their property. Zero consideration without it, so I look at it as additional opportunities and consider it an expense like fuel or equipment.

Bob and Sons gets you in at an introductory rate but after the 1st year you are audited and pay based on the amount of your sales.

Can you give us 1-2 weeks? We're working on something new and hopefully cost-saving (that's the point): Trapping insurance for and by the trapper. Site will be: ProtectTrapping.com We are working directly with an underwriter (not a broker) to offer this. We have an underwriter willing to work with trappers and ADC.......to craft a plan. I can't promise it will work but I can tell you we're working on the contract right now and we're going to try! Should be ready in a week. We're calling it an "insurance experiment" with the goal of beating whatever rate/coverage you have today. It might work, it might not, but we're working with them right now.

03/28/2022 Update on the custom insurance package we were working to create:
I put it on hold. We decided not to pursue the contract with the underwriter we were working with.
If we find another underwriter to work with and develop a trapping umbrella insurance package we will be honored if you will give it a try. I'm not going anywhere, I just need to have more confidence in a company before recommending something to hunters/trappers, or anyone about whom I cared.
If you have an insurance company you were going to price out, please do that. If we pick up on this again, and I put my stamp on it, I hope you will give it a try.
Thank you.

Bruce - that is a great price! How long have you had it? Mine is $775 per year after 5 years of no claims or problems.

Swamp Wolf, did you end up choosing one that the timber company approved?
My policy will be up soon too Not yet. Put all this on hold qith timber company, but it has now came up again with another beaver job for a local hospital-owned property. Looks like I'm gonna have to pay $800/year for 1 million policy. Dang! IM GONNA INCREASE MY PRICES!
