If you don't want to change, why continually whine about your job? He just likes to make a fuss Hippie. He likes to gripe and get it off his chest, not looking for solutions.

What is he going to do, if they end up cutting Social Security in a few years, because they don't have enough money to pay out in full to everyone ? I hear 25 to 33 % cut in benefits in a few years. Is he going to be able to live off that reduced amount ?
Why all the whining and complaining about the Job and the house and everything else ? If he wants more money, then get trained in a NEW SKILL !! What is he going to do, if he gets FIRED AND gets denied the Social Security ? Dave isn't going to get denied SS this late in his working career if he gets fired now and doesn't get another job. I'm sure he has his 40 quarters in to qualify. H*** back in the day, my farm aunts who never had a punch-clock job got some SS, but it wasn't much. Most likely SS will get scaled back in what was promised, although the politicos will probably just write more hot checks and everybody will pay more through inflation. If coonman can't make it with reduced or inflation-impacted SS, he'll just have to learn how to gather most of his meat through the critters he catches. Plenty of people have (continue) to eat beaver, muskrat, and coon. Just have to get over certain social constructs.
