What the heck is a litre? lol Joking aside thank you for sharing your line pics. That young son of yours will surely grow to be a great man like his father. Setting expectations high will lead to him setting his own. Keep the posts coming!

Thanks. Having bobby eventually take over the trap lines is pretty high on my list of priorities. I know I’ve said it before but he’s one of the best partners a guy could ask for. Helpful, comical and positive.

I gave my Mom a wolf last year and she made us both a pair of mitts.

Got a standing photo, my guess here it would be towering over that brush

Too small to take. Maybe I should’ve though because it’s more than likely headed to the town dump

Be careful out there Ryan we had a grizzly kill a shed horn hunter not to long ago between Livingston and Yellowstone National Park , sadly he didn't have bear spray or a gun with him which was a costly mistake on his part .

Started prepping the camp for the big geese hunt.

Another “things you see at work” entry

Got 20 330s dropped off today for the first, of what I think will be many more, beaver removal contracts. I’m hired to clean out a river system north of town. Looking forward to everything spring brings

That's good news on the beaver removal trapping they're a nice change up from predator trapping .

As for the wolf you need a little seed leftover for next year ! I wish you well on the goose hunting !

Good deal on the beaver job! Hope you and the youngster have a blast doing it! Had a flock of about 600 geese fly over yesterday so it shouldn't be much longer for you guys to start see them! Is your boy going to be shooting this year or is he going to play retriever for you? smile

Bobby inherited Morgan’s 410 and I got him 4 boxes of 3 inch so he’ll be shooting. He tried last year too. He hit a couple but the geese just giggled and kept going. 😆. Morgan’s going to be shooting 20 gauge again.

Ryan, I have to ask what would be the purpose of irradiating the beaver on an entire river system in your area?

Trapper Les, it's simple, irradiating beavers makes them glow in the dark, Ryan must want some glow in the dark beaver pelts for mitts and hats. grin

Really
and all along I thought it was to make and give to his old girl friends so he can stay clear from them walking home in the dark.

It’s a fish bearing creek that has never had beavers before. They’re really moving north damming up the creeks and making traditional fishing locations stop producing. This river system is now dry so I’ll be hitting the inland lake pretty hard. Traps, snares and the 22 magnum. The beavers are out of control up here. People don’t put much value on beaver compared to lake trout
