We have one in the house. Seldom could we use a cell without it dropping the call. After my wife complained to Version about a half a dozen time over the years, they sent it to us free. Now the cell never drops a call in the house.

I’ve got a weBoost. I wasn’t able to FaceTime without it. Now I can. The antenna is sitting on my loft floor. I’ll be mounting it outside in the near future which should improve signal strength more.

Moose camp is in the foothills of the Alaska Range about 40 miles from the Richardson Highway. There is a spot about 10 ft square where you get cell signal to talk, text, go on the internet, and send and receive photos. It’s crazy. We call it the phone booth and it only works in that small area
Who would have thought. Lol

I have used really good systems for at least 20 years. Professional grade systems are in my house, 2 vehicles, motor home, and a battery powered portable unit in the side by side and goes on adventures.
A good booster can find and boost signal that you cannot detect with a phone. Why? Because to receive you use a directional antenna to catch the signal, send it to the booster, then on to an inside broadcasting beam antenna. To transmit it goes back out in reverse.
When we go somewhere remote for work, hunting, fishing, or trapping, I have a base and 25’ telescopic pole setup with a directional antenna.

I don’t want to hijack, but will the same type of boosters increase Wi-Fi range? I would like to have our home Wi-Fi reach the river kitchen and cabin. It’s about 200 yards from base. There are wifi boosters too, but they have nothing to do with cell phone boosters. A search will turn up several options.
